    Register

    Registering is quick and easy. Simply visit our website at www.mollimo.hu or download the application from the App Store or Google Play. Tap on the registration button and enter your details. Then upload the pictures of your driving licence.

    Once you’re done, tap on the send button. We'll let you know the status of your application within 24 hours via e-mail and if all your data is in order, your account will be activated.

    Book a car

    Once your account has been activated, you can book a car through the application. The online map shows all the available cars in the Limo zone. The blue dot marks your location.

    Tap on the chosen car to see its data: license plate, type, whether it's electric or gas-powered, its fuel or charge level, parking location and its distance from you. You can book the car from the same page. From this point on, you have 20 minutes to get to the car otherwise your reservation will be automatically cancelled.

    Take it

    When you get to the car you will need the application again. Tap on the UNLOCK CAR button to unlock the doors within a few seconds. Before hitting the road, take a quick look inside and outside the car to make sure it’s in good condition.

    Once opening the car, the application's Damage Report automatically launches. Make sure you don't skip this step to avoid being held responsible for something you haven't caused. You can evaluate the cleanliness of the vehicle by clicking on the cleanliness icon.

    Get going

    Once you find everything in order, you can take off. The key is in the glove compartment. All of our vehicles are automatic, so first step on the brake then turn the key. Electric cars are silent, so the READY sign on the dashboard shows that the engine is already running, whilst in gas-powered cars you can hear the engine starting. With the engine running, shift from P (park) to D (drive) or R (reverse) and step off the brake pedal. In gas-powered cars shift from N (neutral) to D or R and step on the gas pedal.

    If something isn’t clear, the icons on the sun visor can help you.

    Parking

    One of the greatest advantages of the LIMO is that you don't have to worry about parking fees. You can leave the car in any public parking space within the LIMO zone without paying for it. However, if you leave the Limo zone, don't forget to pay the applicable parking fee. You have to bring back the car to the Limo zone to end your trip.

    To avoid any inconvenience, the car will flash a red LED light on the left side of the windscreen and you will also hear a beep when you leave the LIMO zone. Once you’ve parked the car, press the brake and shift into P in case of electric car, or N if you have a gas-powered car.

    End your trip

    Once parked, pull in the handbrake, turn off the lights and make sure the windows are closed. Take out the key and return it into the glove box. If the blue LED light goes out, it is in the right position.

    Remember to take all of your belongings with you and ensure the car is in clean condition before ending your trip. Once you’re ready, get out and close the door. If you no longer need the car, click on the padlock icon in the application to end the rental period and lock the car.
    In case you just want to make a brief stop and later continue your trip, simply close the car with the key instead of terminating your reservation in the application. In this case, the vehicle remains in your usage, yet at a more favourable fee of 15 HUF/min.

Limo
zone

Limo zone is the area serviced by MOL Limo. This is the magical place where you can book your car and where you can end your trips. Parking within the Limo zone is free of charge.

If you leave the Limo zone you will have to pay an extra 15 HUF/min above and beyond the rental fee, while parking. In this case, don't forget to pay the applicable parking fee as well.

General stuff

  • 1.

    What is car sharing?

    Car sharing is a car rental service, when in our case, after following the registration you can book a car thorugh an app 0-24 during the day.

  • 2.

    What is your service area?

    Inner districts of Budapest, please check the map of the Limo zone here and in the app.

  • 3.

    How many cars do you have in total?

    We have 300 vehicles at the time of the launch. The number of cars available in a very moment can differ from this, as cars already booked won't show in the app.

  • 4.

    What cars do you have in your fleet?

    At the moment, we offer 100 Volkswagen eUp!s (these are the electric ones) and 200 gas-powered Volkswagen Up!s.

  • 5.

    Who can use our service?

    Anyone over 18 who possesses a valid category B driver's licence for at least a year and registers him or herself. And downloads the app, that is necessary, for sure.

  • 6.

    Can I use your service as a company or only as a private individual?

    At the moment, only private individuals can use the MOL Limo carsharing service.

  • 7.

    How do I pay?

    The payments are automatically deducted from the registered debit or credit card.

  • 8.

    Is there a daily usage maximum?

    Well, we do not limit the maximum amount you can spend with us in a day, however one rental of one specific car can last for 24 hours. After that, the rental will close automatically.

  • 9.

    I understand that for MOL Bubi, there are stations where you can "park" them. Same for MOL Limo?

    Nope, no stations for MOL Limo. You can leave the car in any public parking space within the Limo zone without paying for it. However, if you leave the Limo zone, don't forget to pay the applicable parking fee. You have to bring back the car to the Limo zone to end your trip.

  • 10.

    Is the parking fee included in the MOL Limo fee?

    Yes, if you leave it in any public parking space within the Limo zone.

  • 11.

    I received the invoice via email attachment, however the total amount cannot be divided neither with 66 nor 77. This is strange as these are the amounts you charge per minute.

    The invoice contains the total fee for all rentals within the billing period. You can check the breakdown of the costs, usage times and waiting times of your trip in the ’Travel Summary’ email you receive after each trip.

    When I register, do you request security deposit?

    No, we do not do such things.

    What types of debit or credit cards do you accept?

    At the moment, we can only accept embossed Mastercard or Visa cards.

  • 5.

    My phone uses Windows, I can’t download the app!

    You cannot download the app to a Windows Phone, it is only available on Android or iOS.

  • 6.

    I am at abroad or I am expat in Hungary and cannot download the app.

    Currently, the app is only available in the Hungarian app store. You might want to change your store to Hungary, or wait until we published the MOL Limo application in stores outside of Hungary. This will come soon, thank you for your patience.

When hitting the road with a MOL Limo

  • 1.

    How much time do I have till getting to the car?

    You have 20 mins to get to the car after booking it. If you do not make it, we will cancel your booking.

  • 2.

    I cannot find the car I booked. What should I do?

  • 3.

    What is the max time allowed for driving around with my chosen MOL Limo?

    You have 24 hours. Okay, in case of electric cars, charging level can make it shorter.

  • 4.

    How do I cancel a booking?

    Just tap on Cancel in the app.

  • 5.

    Where can I leave the car when I reached my destination?

    Anywhere in the Limo zone, and of course meet the road safety regulation when parking the vehicle.

  • 6.

    Pets in the car?

    Unfortunately, you cannot take your four-legged-friend to a MOL Limo ride. Please understand that other drivers can have allergy to animals, plus in some cases (yours definitely not :)) pets might get the interior dirty.

  • 7.

    Having a smoke in the car?

    Nope, you cannot smoke in a a MOL Limo.

  • 8.

    Eating in the car?

    Okay, but please pay attention at the cleanliness, and do not leave any leftover from your delish meal in the car.

  • 9.

    Talking on the phone in the car?

    No cell phone when driving. Safety first! However, you can connect your smart phone via bluetooth to the car's infocommunications system, and by doing so you can talk on the phone.

  • 10.

    My fav playlist in the car?

    No probs! SD card, USD input or via Bluetooth from your phone.

  • 11.

    Can I pick up other passengers?

    Friends or family for sure, however you cannot use a MOL Limo for business purposes. So please do not transform into a taxi driver after getting into the car.

  • 12.

    Driving in the bus lane?

    Nope, you cannot do that, it is against the law.

  • 13.

    I got stopped by the police, what should I do?

    Certified copy of the vehicle log book is in the glove compartment. That should do the job alongside your personal documents.

  • 14.

    Okay, here is this: I must do a quick stop (for instance shopping), however I would like to continue my journey after that?

    Do not end your trip in the app, just lock the car with the key. While waiting for you, the MOL Limo only charges you 15 HUF/min. Lovely, isn't it?

  • 15.

    No heating or cooling in the car! (eUp!)

    Check whether the ECO button is not in the ECO+ state, and if yes, please, switch it off.

Got some difficulties

  • 1.

    The car I booked is not in the best condition.

    Report any damages in the app before unlocking the car at the Damage report section, should there be a cleanliness issue, report it via the Cleanliness surface.

  • 2.

    I cannot open or lock the car. I am freaking out!

  • 3.

    I left my stuff or I found someone else's in the car. What should I do?

  • 4.

    What happens if I do not return the key?

    If you do not put back the key to its place, then you cannot end your trip and the 15 HUF/minute fee is charged on you. So if you do not need the car anymore, please put back the key to its place in the glove compartment. Should you lose the key, please report it to the customer service and we will charge the cost of the key replacement as it is stated in the Terms.

  • 5.

    Who pays the parking, speeding or other fines?

    Fines due as a result of your wrongdoing, therefore you must carry the consequences. After receiving a fine, (within xx days?) we charge it on your credit card together with the administration fee according to our Terms. Our system enables us to identify who used the car when the specific event happened.

  • 6.

    What happens if there is an accident I am involved with a MOL Limo?

    Please call the customer service from the app or at this number: +36-1-886-4444, and if neccessary, the authorities as well. Please wait on the spot, until our colleagues arrive. Of course our vehicles are insured (third-party insurance and CASCO). Any damages in the MOL Limo car, you would be charged up to 100,000 HUF. Should there be a damage in the other car, then the third-party insurance will cover it.

Protection of the personal data provided by you is of key importance for the MOL Group. Any data provided to the MOL Group through internet shall be protected by it as if those data were otherwise made available.
